Pinned apps, live window previews, a launcher you can type into, and a clock, in one bar along the bottom of your screen. It feels familiar from the first click. Free.
The bar at the bottom of this page works like the app. Hover a button, open the launcher, click the clock.
What's on the bar
Search and open any app. Type a name, press Return.
Pinned and open apps in one row. A dot means running; a bar means it's in front. Drag to reorder.
Hover an app to see its windows. Click one to jump to it, or ✕ to close just that window.
Your region's time and date format. Click for a calendar.
The sliver at the far right. Click to clear the screen, click again to bring it all back.
A familiar feel
If you're used to working from a taskbar, your hands already know what to do. Here's where each habit lives in Sill.

macOS asks you to approve Sill because it isn't notarized by Apple yet. You only do this once; updates install without asking. Full install and uninstall guide
Questions
While Sill runs, the Dock is set to hide itself so the taskbar can take its place. Cmd-Tab, Mission Control, and Spaces keep working. Quit Sill and your Dock comes back exactly as it was.
Sill isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to approve it the first time you open it. Updates are signed and checked before they install, and don't ask again.
Accessibility lets Sill focus, minimize, and close other apps' windows. Screen Recording lets it show window thumbnails in previews. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.
No. The taskbar works without one. An account is only for add-ons when they arrive.
Right-click the launcher button, choose Quit Sill, and delete the app. Uninstall steps
